How many guests does your property sleep?


Our vacation rental holiday home sleeps a total of 22-24 guests + 3 infants Our main villa has 6 bedrooms and sleeps 14 adult guests We also have 3 cots / travel cots / cribs for 3 infants We also have 2 luxury glamping pods, each of which sleeps 5 adults, so 10 guests in total.

Yes, we have 3 sets of golf clubs for hire / rental at our property. Our daily hire rate is £20 per set or £60 per week

Airport Transfers, Airport Taxis

How far are you from Malaga Airport?


We are approximately a 25 minute drive from the Malaga, Costa del Sol Airport.




How much do the Airport Taxis charge?


The current single fare for a 4 seat taxi is around 50-60 euros. It is more economical to use an airport transfers company for larger groups.





Check In, Check Out

My flight arrives very late, how can we get access to the property and check in?


We operate like a high class boutique hotel and you can check in at any time, as long as you advise us beforehand of your approximate arrival time, flight time, and 2 telephnone contact numbers for you.




Our flight arrives early. Can we drop off our suitcases before your 4pm check in?


That is absolutely fine; however please note that you must make prior arrangements with us at least 7 days before your arrival date, giving us an approximate time for your arrival together with 2 cell phone contact details. Please also note that a very limited 5 minutes time slot will be allowed to drop off your suitcases otherwise you may be refused entry and / or any delays will adversely affect your check in time.





Security Deposit

How much security deposit do you require?


We require a £500 fully refundable damage security deposit to be held against any unforseen damage that you or your guests may cause to our property during your stay. For all male and all female groups and events, we require a £1,000 damage security deposit and a parent to act as a Guarantor.




How is the security deposit payable?


We require the £500 damage security deposit to be paid 1-2 months prior to your arrival.




When is the security deposit refunded?


We aim to refund your security deposit within 14 working days of your departure. In reality this is completed much sooner, and dependant on your bank processing the payment. Where damage is caused to our property it may take longer to process your refund to enable us to assess the damages and come to an agreement on costs.





Loud Music & Noise

What is your policy on loud music?


We have no problem with the playing of music at a sensible decibel volume, however we must respect our neighbours and neighbouring properties as this may seriously affect and or jeoperdise our vacation rental license. We also require that the playing of music is limited untill midnight at the latest. Please note that if you or any members of your group are issued with any cautions or if the police called to our property and you continue to abuse our reasonable policy, we will treat your rental of our property as being terminated by you with immediate effect and will require you to vacate our property.

Are you fully licensed?


Yes, we are fully licensed and regulated with the ministry of tourism. We are also fully insured and have extensive public liability insurance.





Glamping Pods

What are these glamping pods?


Our luxury glamping pods are basically 2 very high class wooden hut like log cabins and structures with all the facilities of a high class build.




What facilities do the glamping pods have?


Each luxury glamping pod has the following: a. High Class Air Conditioning / Heating units by Daikin b. Luxury designer bathrooms with power shower, wc, sink, base unit, power socket, mirror, extractor fan and LED lighting c. Hair dryer d. WiFi smart LED TV with access to hundreds of apps. e. Are these glamping pods suitable for adults?


Yes, these glamping pods have full size beds and suitable for an average medium sized adult and a height not exceeding 6 feet.




Are these glamping pods suitable for infants?


No, we would recommend all infants under the age of 2 years to sleep in the main villa, which has all the facilities that infants and babies require.




Are these glamping pods secure and suitable for children?


Yes, many of our previous guests have commented how much their children have loved our pods. Both pods have double glazing and door locks and are very safe and secure. Our ground are also gated with perimeter walls and security LED floodlights. A lot of our guests choose to have one of the pods for girls and one pod for the boys. Alternatively some choose to have one family in one pod and another family in the second pod. There are many possibilities




What size are your glamping pods?


Our luxury glamping pods are 6.5 meters long x 2.2 meters wide.




Are the Glamping Pods included in the rental?


Our rates are based on occupancy group sizes. The rental of the luxury glamping pods are included as follows:

  • GROUPS UP TO 12 GUESTS - No glamping pod is included
  • GROUPS OF 13 - 16 GUESTS - 1 glamping pod is included
  • GROUPS OF 17 - 24 GUESTS - 2 glamping pod are included





Car, Hire, Rental

Is a car necessary?


A car is not really necessary, however if you are travelling with a large group, it may be preferable to hire a small to medium sized car for local trips to the supermarkets and geting around. If you intend to do a lot of traveling then it may be cost effictive to rent a car.




How far is the property from the town centre?


Our town centre is Alhaurin el Grande, 29120 Spain. We are 2.2 miles from the start of the town centre. This is a walking distance of 25 - 30 minutes





Taxis

Are taxis available and how much do they charge?


Yes, taxis are readily available and can pick and drop you off anytime. The local taxi company has a 4 and 7 seat taxi. A local trip to the local town centre of Alhaurin el Grande will cost: 10 euros for a 4 seat taxi 15 euros for a 7 seat taxi

Both jacuzzi's have colour changing LED lighting and an air blower for a soothing and relaxing time

How large is your Swimming Pool?


Our swimming pool is 11 meters x 5 meters




How deep is the Swimming Pool?


Our pool is approximately 1 meter 30cm at the shallow end and 2 meters 40cm at the deep end.




Is the Swimming Pool Private or shared with any other guests?


Unlike some other vacation rental homes, our swimming pool is private and for only one group of guests at any one time. Our pool is not shared with any other guests.




How is the Swimming Pool Heated


At our Vacation Rental villa, we have the most advanced and most comprehensive swimming pool heating systems to be found in Spain.

Our swimming pool is heated all year and during the cooler months of November to March. In addition to solar pool heating during the cooler months, we also use additional pool hearing with a 28kw air to water heat pump to give you one of the warmest heated swimming pools to be found in Spain.




What is your Telescopic Pool Enclosure and is it safe to swim under the enclosure?


Our telescopic pool enclosure is a luxury top of the range swimming pool, glass dome type housing that slides over the entire swimming pool making our swimming pool the warmest, cleanest and safest swimming pools to be found anywhere in Europe. This allows you and your guests to swim with the cover fully open or under the pool enclosure fully closed making it very comfortable for swimming during the cooler months when the ambient temperatures are quite low. The pool enclosure also adds a great deal of security and safety for children and infants and reduces the risk of accidental drowning substantially. This makes our pool enclosure one of the safest and strongest pool enclosures immaginable and comes with all safety and European certifications.

How do I Book Now & Pay later


You can make your reservation online using our very secure https website reservation manager which is encrypted with the higest level of security possible.

To make a reservation on a Book Now & Pay Later basis, make your reservation online and when you come to the payment page you can either make a deposit payment of 25% or choose the option at the bottom of the page to pay later.

We will then contact you and you will be able to choose when to make your flexible payments. In any event the final payment will become due 2 months before your arrival.

What can I do if I am unable to travel due to coronavirus, covid-19?


As the Foreign & Commonwealth Office "FCO" has only directed against travel to certain parts of Spain, it all depends on whether Malaga is included in the list of restricted regions.

If your holiday is not for several months, you are advised to wait until nearer your departure date in case the FCO travel advice has changed.

For travellers with a holiday planned in a region of Spain that is not included in the FCO list, you will still be allowed to travel are less likely to get a refund.

Should the FCO direct against all travel to Malaga, Spain, then you are directed to the following:

  1. Assuming that you have travel insurance, call your travel insurance company immediately and notify them that you are unable to travel and seek a claim under the terms of your travel insurance policy.
  2. If you had not purchased travel insurance and / or are not covered by your travel insurance pollicy proceed as follows:
  3. If you had made your reservation on the HomeAway, SpainHoliday or VRBO booking platform, seek a claim under their Book with Confidence Guarantee.
  4. If you have made a direct booking with ourselves and made payment for your booking or reservation by credit card this gives you 100% peace of mind and protection under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. So, our advice would be to call your credit card company and seek to recover your costs from your credit card company.




Can we change or amend our booking dates due to the covid-19 coronavirus?


This is dealt with in the following sections of our T&C's You may change or amend your reservation dates by giving us no less than 90 days notice before your arrival. Unfortunately due to the advance nature of our bookings we are unable to entertain any date changes less than 90 days notice before your arrival. 27. If you amend your reservation If you wish to amend your reservation (at least 90 days before your arrival), for an alternative date, you may be charged an additional fee of 40 - 80 %, depending on the likelihood of us being able to secure an alternative reservation for your original dates. Our decision to amend your dates and the additional fees imposed are dependant on the notice period given to secure an alternative reservation and factors giving rise to your cancellation notice.




CORONAVIRUS, COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 - TRAVEL TO SPAIN


The Coronavirus pandemic arrived in Spain on 31 January 2020. It originated in one of Spain's Canary Islands La Gomera when a tourist from Germany tested positive.

Whilst the virus has been predominant in the Community of Madrid, Canary Island and Balearics Island, the virus has now spread nationally.

On 14 March 2020 Spain declared a State of Emergency imposing significant restrictions on movement throughout the country in response to the covid-19 pandemic coronavirus outbreak.

As of 15 March 2020, there have been 7,798 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 517 people making a recovery and 292 deaths.

On Sunday 15 March 2020 the Spanish government declared a 15-day national lockdown to battle coronavirus.

For your total peace of mind, we want to reassure our valued guests and travellers that we are doing everything possible at our end by following the health, safety and recommended guidelines of the World Health Organisation “WHO” for protective measures against the Covid-19 Coronavirus which is our top priority.

We are updating all our personnel, guests and travellers to conduct the following protection and prevention measures:

Health, Safety & Prevention Actions

  1. Wash hands regularly.
  2. Always use readily available hand sanitizer.
  3. Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or a tissue to cough and sneeze. Dispose of the used tissue immediately.
  4. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
  5. Regularly wipe down surfaces with soap, cleaning sprays or wipes.
  6. Maintain social distancing, large gathering and events.
  7. Notify us or seek immediate medical attention if suffering from fever or high temperature, coughing and struggling breathing.




What travel advice can you provide during the covid-19, coronavirus outbreak?


Before you travel to Spain you must seek the updated advice of The Foreign and Commonwealth Office. As of 15 March 2020, The FCO advises against all but essential travel to Spain due to restrictions put in place by the Spanish government in response to the outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19). Will I be covered by travel insurance if I cancel my Spain trip due to coronovirus, covid-19?


The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) have advised against all but essential travel to the following regions that the Spanish Ministry of Health have designated as areas of community transmission of coronavirus: Madrid and La Rioja, and the municipalities of La Bastida and Vitoria (both in the Basque Country) and Miranda de Ebro (in Castilla y León).

As the FCO has only directed against travel to certain parts of Spain, it all depends on whether Malaga is included in the list of restricted regions.

If Malaga is included in the restricted region list, then your insurance provider should pay out providing you bought your policy before the FCO advice was updated.

If you cancel your reservation within 7 days of receiving our written confirmation, we will refund the full balance of any money you have paid us, less any credit or debit card processing fees, bank or PayPal fees we may have incurred and a £50 administration fee. After the initial 7 days cooling off period, all reservations at our property are strictly non refundable and non transferable. If it is indispensable for you to cancel or amend your reservation, you must contact us in writing immediately by email to sales@albatrosvilla.com or sales@vacationrental.es. A cancellation will not take effect until we receive written confirmation from you, and we have acknowledged receipt of your cancelation request. If you cancel your reservation after our initial 7 days cooling off period and have made part payment for your reservation, we reserve the right to retain the amount of the part payment paid, and to request full payment unless and until such time and at our sole discretion, we are able to secure an alternative booking, for your booking dates.
